.............The "EVE" Project, as it has come to be affectionately known, has been in the growth process since a few months after the founding members met over the internet in the fall of 1997.
............ Maureen and I started conceptualizing a band as soon as we found each other were into music and had already begun, each on their own, writing compositions. She had been playing the piano/keyboard since four years of age. I had only been playing since I was sixteen years of age. However, I had band experience to some extent where she had none up until that point. She had played duets locally with a violinist when she was still young, giving her a grasp of what it is to play along with other people. I had not been playing as many years, but had gotten experience jamming in a few different bands that had potential but for one reason or another never made it much past the garage.
........... "EVE" came about along, behind and through various other endevours. Due to the seeming lack of raw talent, and or available or committed artists in the areas in which we lived (not to mention our constent travels between Michigan and British Columbia) we had difficulty getting and or keeping these endevours focused or even going. So now we have taken upon ourselves to be the soul driving force behind "The 'EVE' Project".
........... Onward and upward..... unvariengly we pushed on as we all must. There were, of course, slow times and with those there were also great surges of work that seemed to come abruptly to a brief, yet definate, hult at rather large brick walls. This was our baby and as it crawled along we gave our strength so that it might grow. We are coming out of the crawl and nearly able to stand on our own two feet, ready to fly. As everything that grows must, or so it seems. "EVE" had it's most major set backs at the times that it had seemed it might finally take off. These all in the last few months. Recording equiptment wasn't readily available. The tracks that were layed had never gotten mixed down. A guest appearance on an upcoming "Velvet Blue Music" release of one of our keyboard tracks has been delayed, at the least. Yet, through it all, we are here to present ourselves to the world at large with whatever bits and pieces of sound samples we can scrape together.
